Born in France, Apolline Khou is a harpsichordist and pianist with an eclectic sensibility, embracing varied influences with a free spirit, and known for her poetical and passionate interprétations. Currently in residence as continuiste at the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles (CMBV), she previously held the position of Historical Keyboards fellow at the Royal College of Music, London, for two years (2023-2025), after graduating with a Master and an Artist Diploma from the prestigious institution. 

Apolline Khou

Apolline has performed internationally as a soloist and as a chamber or orchestral player. Her repertoire includes early music alongside more modern works, as well as her own transcriptions and arrangements that she often incorporates in concerts, creating unique programmes.

Recent performances include venues such as the Opéra Royal in Versailles, the Narodowe Forum Muzyki in Wroclaw, Poland, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, as well as Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Utrecht early music Festival.

She had the honor of giving a solo performance for His Royal Highness the King Charles III, then Prince of Wales, in 2021 where she presented an English programme on an original 1773 harpsichord at the RCM Museum. In 2023, she was also privileged to perform for the Emperor of Japan at the same venue.

Apolline won the RCM Historical Performance  Competition 2023, receiving both the Century Fund Prize and the Richard III Prize. Additionally, she was awarded the 2nd prize in the Musica Britannica Editions – Lewis Memorial Prize Competition.
